ET Manager Ally Schwartzhoff says, “Welcome to Southlake!”

Friends, the journey continues in North Texas. Next stop in the Elaine Turner road trip is Elaine Turner Southlake in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Boutique manager Ally Schwartzhoff dishes on must-see destinations, insider tips, and more just as  Plano manager Brynlea gushed on her turf last week.

So for more on the Southlake area, take it away, Ally! And should your travels take you there, be sure to stop in. XOXO, Elaine

allypicMust Visit
Main Street in Grapevine is fun to explore. It is a historic area with winery tasting rooms, one of a kind shops, restaurants and events. It’s a great place to visit since there is so much history behind it. Grapevine’s Main Street hosts many festivals throughout the year and there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Trio New American Cafe in Colleyville is one of my favorite places for lunch. The menu features fresh, local and seasonal ingredients, and everything is delicious. My personal favorite is the chicken salad sandwich with the house salad. It’s the perfect place to meet a friend for lunch and girl talk!

The Salt Cave in Southlake is where I love to take a break from the world and relax for 45 minutes. The Salt Cave uses Himalayan rock salt imported from Eastern Europe which gets pumped into the room, filling it with the benefits of the salt dust as you breathe it in. They also have other treatments with salt therapy like yoga and a kid’s cave.

Travel Tips

+Pack light so you can shop more. 😉
+Select a bright suitcase or fasten a colorful tag or ribbon on your luggage that you will spot from far away to minimize time at baggage claim.
+Always carry your business card – you never know who you are going to sit next to on the plane, and it could be a great networking opportunity.
+If you are coming to the DFW area, definitely try to see both Dallas and Ft. Worth. Many people think they are the same, but they are completely opposite, in my opinion.

Travel Must Have
download (1)My absolute favorite Elaine Turner product for travel would be the light cashmere sweaters. Summers are hot in Texas, but the AC cranks, making some buildings a tad chilly. I am also always cold, especially on planes, and this piece is perfect to pack in your handbag for cooler climes.

Must Reads
As a Christian, I love any book that grows my relationship with God. Therefore, I love any book by Lysa Terkeurst. Unglued and The Best Yes are two favorites. She has a new book coming out in August called Uninvited that I know will be inspirational.Uninvited

Favorite Destination
My favorite travel destination would be Beachwalk in Michigan City, Indiana, which is about an hour from Chicago on Lake Michigan. We rent a house that sleeps around 20 people so my entire family comes for a week. We usually walk to the beach or go to the pool, but there are so many fun activities to enjoy. It’s relaxing and we always create amazing memories.

Got some area tips and favorite destinations to share? We’d love to hear them in the comments below. 🙂
