ET’s Brynlea Cunniff on Dallas-area Destinations, Travel & More

In keeping with our travel theme this month on the blog, we’re probing our store managers around the state for their favorite insider destinations, recommendations and tips. First up in our Elaine Turner Texas road trip is the lovely Brynlea Cunniff, Manager, Elaine Turner Shops at Legacy in Plano.

So take a tip from a local and enjoy Brynlea’s musts and tips! And if you’re in the Dallas area, pop by the store and say hi to Brynlea and the Plano team. They’ll take great care of you!  XOXO, Elaine

IMG_7035Must Visit: I love downtown McKinney. It’s so quaint and nostalgic with lots of awesome mom and pop restaurants, boutiques and home décor shops. It feels like you are stepping back in time and a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. One of my favorite restaurants there is The Pantry where you will find amazing southern home cooking in a cute, rustic environment.

In Plano, some of my favorites are The Brick House Tavern for brunch. (Don’t miss the chicken and waffles!) And The Woodhouse Day Spa, located in the same center as the store, is my favorite place to escape and treat myself to a facial, massage and mani/pedi.

Travel Tip: I strive to get local recommendations. Word of mouth is always the best!

IMG_7971Travel Must Have: The Frankie Crossbody is ideal for travel. Its small façade is deceiving — it has three compartments and holds A LOT. I can fit my phone, keys, lipstick, and other miscellaneous items. It zips for extra safety and is lightweight, all while being super chic and stylish! I have the black and white Domino Python print and love it.

Summer Must Reads: As a former high school English teacher, I am a sucker for books. Anything by Jennifer Weiner is a  great beach read.

Favorite Destination
: I LOVE Greece. And Paris. And NYC.
